Phoenix Weaponry, a precision manufacturer specializing in custom weapon systems and firearm components, is relocating its operations to Rapid City, marking a significant investment in the region’s advanced manufacturing sector.
Formerly Colorado’s largest firearms manufacturer, Phoenix Weaponry operates a vertically integrated facility with advanced CNC machining capabilities. The company designs and produces high-performance products using aerospace-grade materials such as aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel, while also offering gunsmithing, customization, and repair services.
The relocation represents an estimated $4 million capital investment and is expected to create 25 full-time jobs with an average annual wage of $60,000. The project further strengthens Rapid City’s growing base of high-skill manufacturing careers. Phoenix Weaponry will be located in Rushmore Business Park at 3460 Jet Drive.

Elevate Rapid City supported the project through a combination of financial tools and strategic services, including a business development loan workforce grant, site selection assistance, workforce and talent pipeline connections, and market research.
