Rustic Nook Bakery Celebrates Re-Grand Opening and One-Year Anniversary in Rapid City

Published Monday, March 16, 2026

Rustic Nook Bakery, a retail bakery and coffee shop, recently celebrated its one year anniversary in Rapid City with a ribbon cutting at its Rapid City location. The re-grand opening event showcased expanded offerings and refreshed retail merchandise at its shop, located at 1080 Deadwood Avenue, Suite 3.

Founded in 2019 in Lead, Rustic Nook Bakery was built on a simple idea: create a warm, welcoming place where handcrafted baked goods and quality coffee bring people together. That vision has guided the business from its early days serving communities throughout the northern Black Hills to its move to Rapid City in February 2025. Today, Rustic Nook Bakery continues to focus on creating moments of everyday joy—whether through a favorite pastry, a shared cup of coffee, or thoughtfully curated products that reflect the bakery’s personality.

In addition to fresh-baked pastries and specialty coffee, Rustic Nook Bakery is known for its charcuterie boards, offering an elevated option for gatherings, celebrations, and gifts. The bakery also features original merchandise, including shirts with playful baking puns that add a touch of humor and creativity to the Rustic Nook experience.

The ribbon cutting celebrated more than an anniversary—it highlighted the bakery’s continued growth and evolution. The Rapid City location allows Rustic Nook Bakery to reach a broader audience while remaining rooted in the community-focused values that have shaped the business from the start.

“We get to provide a service to the community that brings joy to people, and we love being able to give back through various events,” said Leigha Patterson. “Rapid City has been incredibly welcoming, and we’re proud to be part of a business community that supports local growth and connection.”

As an investor in Elevate Rapid City, Rustic Nook Bakery reflects the impact locally owned businesses have on the region—creating inviting spaces, supporting local jobs, and strengthening community connections. Their continued presence on Deadwood Avenue adds to Rapid City’s vibrant small-business landscape and reinforces what makes the city a great place to live, work, and gather.
