On June 24, Elevate Rapid City joined Hebron Brick Supply, Co. to celebrate the grand opening of their new facility at 1500 Lando Lane in Rapid City. The ribbon cutting marked not just the launch of a new location, but a new chapter for a company that has been part of the Rapid City business community for more than four decades.
Founded in 1904 and based in Hebron, North Dakota, Hebron Brick has grown from a single plant into a trusted name in masonry and landscape products across the Upper Midwest. The company first established a Rapid City presence in 1981, when siblings Bill and Randy Aker opened the branch. Today, the local operation is managed by Bill’s son, Kevin Aker, who began his career with Hebron Brick in 1997—continuing the family’s legacy of leadership and service.
What truly sets Hebron Brick apart is its people. In 2017, the company became 100% employee-owned, a milestone that underscores its commitment to longevity, loyalty, and shared success. That spirit is reflected in its workforce—many of whom have built long-term careers at Hebron Brick—and in the company’s dedication to quality products and customer service.

The new facility was built from the ground up to meet growing demand and better serve customers across the Black Hills. Designed to showcase an expanded inventory and offer improved accessibility, the location reflects both the company’s roots and its readiness for the future.

“We are excited to start this new chapter in the Rapid City community,” said Kevin Aker, Branch Manager. “This city has supported us for more than 40 years, and this new space allows us to continue providing high-quality materials while growing alongside the region. Rapid City’s strong sense of community and steady economic growth made this expansion possible.”
Elevate Rapid City praised the opening as another example of long-term business investment in the region. “Hebron Brick is a model for sustainable growth and what it means to be part of a thriving business ecosystem,” said a representative from Elevate. “This expansion reinforces that Rapid City is a place where companies can grow, invest in their people, and build for the future.”
As Rapid City continues to attract new residents, businesses, and construction projects, having longstanding partners like Hebron Brick Supply helps ensure the region is equipped with the materials—and the mindset—needed for quality development. The company’s new location is more than a facility; it’s a testament to what’s possible when businesses grow with their community.
