This year marks the 17th annual Rush game in support of the Monument Health Cancer Care Institute. This powerful partnership began with the Rapid City Rush’s inaugural season. Since then, the team has raised over $363,000 to support local cancer patients.
This year’s event is on Saturday, March 22. It will be especially meaningful as Rush Head Coach/GM Scott Burt will take part in the ceremonial Puck Drop alongside his medical team.
Rush players will wear a specially designed jersey for the game. After the game, fans can bid on the one-of-a-kind jersey while supporting a worthy cause.
"On behalf of the Rush organization, we are honored to invite our friends, families, fans, and community members to come together and join us for this year’s Rush Fights Cancer event. This night is not just about the game, it’s about uniting in support, strength, and hope for those affected by cancer. Together, we can make a difference, raise awareness, and show our unwavering commitment to the fight against cancer," said Rush Team President Jared Reid.
Your generosity directly supports life-saving efforts, from cutting-edge medical technology to enhanced patient programs and education. 100% of donations stay local, ensuring that cancer patients in our community receive the care and services they need—close to home.
Join us for this unforgettable night and be a part of the fight against cancer. Together, we make a difference!
And don’t miss the pre-event – Paint the Ice! March 20th from 5 – 7 p.m. It is free and open to all and proudly sponsored by Black Hills Paint and Pressure Washing. The game is proudly presented by Vitalant.
Together, we can beat cancer—one goal at a time.
