Drew Staufer recently joined the Elevate Rapid City team as the Business Prospect Manager. As part of the economic development team, Drew’s primary responsibility is identifying and reaching out to businesses that would see a mutual benefit for growth opportunities in Rapid City. “My overall goal is to help stimulate local economic growth and to ensure that while Rapid City grows, we grow in the right ways,” he explained.

Originally from Watertown, SD, Drew served 6 years in the Air Force. He graduated from South Dakota State University before moving to Rapid City. “I chose to come back to Rapid City for a plethora of reasons,” he explained. “The beauty of the Black Hills, a proximity to my family and friends, a community of diverse yet like-minded people, and the opportunities available to young professionals like me.” He added, “I am ecstatic to be working with a populace with so much appreciation for Ellsworth AFB and the part the installation plays in our community.”
