Connie Schroeder, the owner of Dr Connie Consulting has been training great people for more than 20 years. Her career started in Telecom making her way up to a market manager role with Western Wireless Corporation in charge of all of western, SD, including stores in Rapid City, Sturgis, Spearfish, Pierre and Winner. From there she moved back east river and started her staffing agency in Mitchell, SD, Complete Career Center, which she owned and ran for 24 years. During that time she started up other businesses and also ran the South Dakota Leadership Academy for 5 years and taught business and psychology classes at Mitchell Technical College. Connie says she is excited to be back in the Rapid City area and partnering again with West River Electric. Connie says, “West River Electric was a long time participant in the South Dakota Leadership Academy, and were looking for something to replace the results they got for their organization through that leadership training. They asked me to bring this training to Rapid City and here we are.”

Connie currently offers this same training specific to the Telecom industry with 18 companies participating as well in partnership with RTEC in Yankton, SD. The Rapid City class will be her 10th class of this 8 month leadership academy. “It has been an incredible journey, watching people develop themselves through this training and seeing their gains both professionally and in their personal lives,” says Connie.
A portion of the proceeds from this training will be donated to JAG South Dakota. Connie has been a longtime volunteer and supporter of JAG South Dakota, who’s mission is Empowering South Dakota's young people with the skills and support to succeed in education, employment, and life. Some scholarships may be available for nonprofit organizations looking to send their employees through this training.
