On June 7, B Sharp Cut Co. celebrated their grand re-opening with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at their newly renovated location in the historic Buell Building at 524 7th Street. Originally opened on November 3, 2022, this woman-owned and operated men’s salon/barbershop has quickly become a staple in Downtown Rapid City, known for its top-notch grooming services and welcoming atmosphere.
Owner Amy Scherer, who dreamt of this business for nearly eight years, realized her vision in 2022. The salon employs two stylists and two barbers, with plans to expand their team and hours of operation. The recent relocation and renovation represent the next chapter for the business.
The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony celebrated the transformation of their new location into a modern, yet cozy space tailored for both stylists and clients. The renovation was a collaborative effort, with contributions from Merlyn Ketelsen as the General Manager; Monument Custom Building and Bryce Stevenson for the framing, walls, floors, and trim work; Inside Out Painting for the vibrant interior; and Volt-Pro Electric for the essential electrical work.
“We love to be a part of the growing Downtown Rapid City community and are excited about all the possibilities ahead,” said Amy Scherer, emphasizing the possibilities of owning a business in Downtown Rapid City.
Attendees enjoyed a glimpse of the renovated space during the Ribbon Cutting and left with the promise of exceptional grooming services that B Sharp Cut Co. is known for.
As B Sharp Cut Co. continues its journey in the Buell Building, they continue to offer the same high-quality services and welcoming environment that have made them a beloved part of the downtown business landscape.
