The Elevate Leadership Institute (ELI) offers an exceptional opportunity for individuals across the Black Hills region to develop as proactive, visionary leaders. Learn from the ELI Class of 2024 Graduate, Tif Robertson (T-N-T Event & Marketing Management), on why you should consider applying for the 2024 - 2025 ELI Program:
Revitalizing Professional Networks
ELI provides a unique platform to connect with emerging leaders and build a fresh, dynamic network.
Tif Robertson shares how the program reinvigorated her professional connections: "I was really eager to take this course because, at this point in my career, I'm in my late 40s, so a lot of the connections I've had going previously are on their way to retirement and whatnot. It was an opportunity for my business, both professionally and personally, to meet a new era of leaders."
Personal and Professional Growth
ELI challenges participants to grow continuously, fostering self-awareness and development while offering valuable insights into personal areas for improvement.
Tif emphasizes the impact of the program's self-assessment tools: "The EQi and those types of leadership opportunities really made me open my eyes and see what it is about me or where I can become better, because you get a little stale once in a while if you're not challenged to see your strengths and weaknesses. That's probably one of my favorite parts of this leadership program: finding that out."
Unique Learning Experiences
Experiences during ELI provide a deeper understanding of the complex dynamics within the local community and the roles leaders play in maintaining safety and order, exposing participants to critical aspects of community leadership.
Reflecting on one of her most memorable experiences, Tif says, "One of my favorite tours was the Pennington County jail and understanding all that goes into that, the leadership over there. There's a lot at stake. There's a lot of risk at stake there and they explained to us where they put their lives at stake for us every day and try to keep us safe. A lot of that was heavy on the heart, but yet it's reality."
Empowerment Through Community
ELI fosters a supportive community where participants inspire and elevate each other, creating a ripple effect of empowerment and leadership.
Summarizing her ELI experience, Tif remarks, "Being empowered by other leaders makes me feel more empowered."
Are you ready to enhance your leadership skills and make a lasting impact in your community?
