Rapid City welcomed its newest creative addition on May 2, 2024, with the grand opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of The Loft Studio + Space. Located at 405 Canal St., Suite 2000, The Loft Studio + Space is Rapid City's newest natural light photography studio and event rental space in The Gap Building.

Michele Blake, the owner of The Loft Studio + Space, expressed her enthusiasm for her new project, saying, "It all started three years ago when I looked for a local, membership-based photo studio with gorgeous light. I couldn't find it at the time. But from the moment I set foot in the Space that would become The Loft, I knew this was what I'd been looking for! The Loft Studio + Space is in a class all its own, and I'm so excited to share this location with other photographers and business owners!"

Following the Ribbon Cutting, an open house welcomed guests to explore the studio's amenities and potential. Michele shared her vision for the Space, stating, "The Loft is truly a blank canvas for various creative events! The feedback and support of everyone we've told have exceeded our expectations, and we can't wait to see what people create in this Space."

The celebration continued with various delights, including food from Fork Real Café, treats from Nothing Bundt Cakes, craft beer from neighbor Dakota Point Brewing, and mocktails from Bubbly Belle. 

This collaboration of local businesses represented the supportive spirit of Rapid City's business community.

The Loft Studio + Space is set to become a dynamic hub for photographers, filmmakers, content creators, and businesses in Rapid City. It offers a versatile space for hosting, meeting, inspiring, collaborating, and creating.
