Whether a business or organization is just getting started, joining Elevate Rapid City as an investor, or celebrating another milestone, a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony is the perfect way to recognize successes in the business community. September and October were busy so far and included Ribbon Cuttings for Magnum, Glik's, Goodwill of the Great Plains, and Complete Health.
Magnum

Based in Fargo, North Dakota, Magnum held an open house and grand opening at 4550 E. Mall Dr. with food from Jr's Rhodehouse BBQ.
According to Magnum’s Vice President, David Gadberry, Magnum entered the Rapid City market 20 years ago: "We've actually been here since 2003. We leased the building over in Box Elder and just completed this building. This building is owned by Magnum."
In 1978, the first Magnum truckload company was founded under Gadberry, Inc. Today, Magnum has more than 1400 employees and operates over 26 terminals/offices in nine states.
"We have about 600 trucks on the road all the time."
Glik's

Glik's is owned by 5th generation family members dedicated to providing the best products and customer service. They take pride in our long-standing history and the relationships they have built within our communities for the past 126 years.
"We are celebrating our 126th, so the timing is perfect for the opening. We'll have our anniversary sale, 126 years,” stated the Vice President of Glik’s, Jim Glik.
Glik's now has a location at the Uptown Rapid Mall, and celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting, but with a twist.
Glik expressed during the ceremony that, "We put the ribbon away because I brought my own ribbon, and this is a tradition that we give to the Chamber. It's $126, one for every year. So, this will be the ribbon that we cut today."
Goodwill of the Great Plains

Goodwill celebrated 100 years on October 10th. The celebration at their 611 Lindbergh Ave location included a complimentary lunch, a chance to win a $25 gift card, and a 25% off coupon for the first 100 customers.
"Goodwill's ability to tackle community needs would not be possible without generous donations and support from donors and shoppers in our retail stores, as well as partnerships with local vendors and businesses," mentioned Briget Solomon, the Chief Executive Officer.
Goodwill of the Great Plains, based in Sioux City, IA, started as Wall Street Mission in 1890 and joined the Goodwill movement in 1923. Over the years, the territory has expanded to serve northwest Iowa, northeast Nebraska, southwest Minnesota, and all of South Dakota.
Complete Health

Previously known as the Community Health Center of The Black Hills, this premier team that provides comprehensive, world-class health care, rebranded and is now called Complete Health. Established in 1992 with only one medical provider in one clinic, Complete Health now has over a dozen medical, dental, and mental healthcare providers in multiple clinics, including a pharmacy.
To celebrate the many milestones of Complete Health, a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony took place on October 11th at their 350 Pine St. location.
When speaking on the decision to rebrand, it was said by the Chief Executive Officer at Complete Health, Tim Trithart that "this helps makes us especially responsive and able to evolve in ways that meet the community's needs first."
