How often are you driving somewhere in Rapid City and notice a new construction project going on or another new building going up? As one of the fastest growing cities in the United States, these projects and updates aren’t slowing down any time soon. The answers to all your most recent “what’s that going to be” questions are here:
A new Take 5 Oil Change location is coming to Rapid City and is going to be next to the Tidal Wave Auto Spa on the corner of North & Cambell. The company is a revolutionary drive-through oil change service found in over 500 locations in 18 states. Take 5 Oil Change took inspiration from the hospitality industry to transform the mundane task of getting an oil change into an enjoyable customer-focused experience. They pride themselves in performing fast, friendly, and simple oil changes.
Rapid City’s first 7 Brew Coffee location is being built next door to the new Take 5 Oil Change location near Tidal Wave Auto Spa on Cambell Street. With an anticipated opening of July 24th, 7 Brew Coffee was born from the desire to change drive-thru coffee into a fun, mind-blowing experience for everyone. The company is more than just a coffee stand. They cultivate kindness and joy with every drink through their service, speed, quality, energy, and atmosphere.
The Taco John's next to Arby's on Cambell is demolishing their existing location and constructing a new building at the same location. Taco John’s is all about bigger. bolder. better. The company’s food choices range from classic items like Meat & Potato Burritos, Stuffed Grilled Tacos, Potato Olés to the bold and crave worthy Fried Chicken Taco. There are currently three other Taco John’s locations around Rapid City on Eglin St, Haines Ave, and W Main St.
A new Auto Body Shop is being built across from Lowe's on the corner of Haines & Mall Dr. With the current number of auto shops in Rapid City not consistently being enough to meet the demand for services, more auto shop companies are being built and entering the market. This is especially the case during peak tourist seasons, such as during warmer months and during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
The Black Hills Contraband Distillery is getting ready to move into the old Climate Control Systems warehouse on Deadwood Ave. Based in Rapid City, SD, local owner Jerry Sailer turned a seven-generation Sailer family recipe into reality by producing flavored liqueur in South Dakota. Their flavored liqueurs have been perfected from generation to generation and they currently produce 14 of their own flavors. Contraband Distillery also includes a tasting room and a full-service speakeasy.
An Inland Truck Parts & Service location is going to be to the north of Great Western Tire on Dyess Ave and Mall Drive. As a 100% employee-owned company, they can make decisions quickly and at the local level, based on specific needs. Inland Truck Parts & Services continues to set the industry standard for truck service and repair through maintaining state-of-the-art facilities and continually investing in new training and technology.
