Dillon Matuska recently joined the Elevate Rapid City team as the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Manager. Originally from Gillette, Wyoming, Dillon moved to Denver, Colorado in 2015 where he spent eight years earning his degree and working with various businesses. While working with the Denver Metro Small Business Development Center, he discovered his passion for assisting entrepreneurs and economic development. After the hustle of Denver, he is excited to be in Rapid City. 

How would you describe your new role at Elevate Rapid City?

My role is to be the primary resource for entrepreneurs, helping them grow their business in any way that I can. Connecting them with other entrepreneurs and local resources, coaching them on the struggles of business ownership, and creating an environment for them to thrive.

What excites you most about joining the Elevate team?

My passion is growing small businesses, plain and simple. Elevate is giving me the opportunity to do what I love in a region I’m falling in love with more every day. I look forward to elevating Rapid City for everyone. 

Dillon loves backpacking, fishing, and snowboarding. He also likes to draw and plays guitar, harmonica, and kalimba. He is an avid weightlifter and loves Star Wars and Lord of the Rings.
