Founded in 1851, Columbia College is a private, non-profit liberal arts and sciences college. They provide high-quality programs, offering associate, bachelor's and master's degrees for students in over 30 locations in 12 states and Naval Station Guantanamo Bay in Cuba. The location at Ellsworth AFB was established in 2021 to serve the higher educational needs of the Air Force community and the greater Black Hills region. 

Columbia College serves those who serve our country, providing discounts, benefits, and resources for current military members including Guard and Reserve members, their spouses and dependents (under 25), veterans, and military affiliated employees.

Spouses of military members (including Guard and Reserve members) qualify for the military tuition rate. 

They offer affordable dual enrollment courses for high school students who wish to earn college credit prior to graduation.  

The Columbia College Partners in Law Enforcement and Partners in Corrections programs provides the opportunity for training academy graduates to earn up to 24 credit hours in criminal justice course equivalents.
