Taylor Davis recently joined the Elevate Rapid City team as the Senior Director of Community Development and Partnerships. She is a military spouse, passionate about creating opportunities and connections. In her two short weeks, she has been meeting with area partners and brainstorming ideas to help us in our mission to elevate the region for all. Taylor and her family are relocating to Rapid City after 4 years in Wichita Falls. We are excited to have her on the team, and want to give you the opportunity know her a bit better with this Q & A.

Taylor, how would you describe your new role at Elevate Rapid City?

I view my role as the opportunity to eliminate barriers for JOB seekers, advocate for local business support and ensure Rapid City is a place where everyone can thrive. How cool is that?

What excites you most about joining the Elevate team?

I’m passionate about both Rapid City and growing the community around you. The Elevate Team and our partners have the ability to affect change in our community and create a positive impact on those around us. Being able to combine all of the things that I love is fulfilling and worthwhile; I couldn’t ask for a better place to be.

Why did you and Jake CHOOSE to come back to Rapid City?

My husband, Jake, and I lived in Rapid City once before and loved every minute of it. As soon as the Air Force sent us to our next duty station, we knew it was just a matter of time before we made it back to the Black Hills. We love the quality of life that we find in this region. From the food and drink options to outdoor recreation (we love camping and fishing) to fun places for our daughter and pups to play, there’s no better place for us to plant roots and watch our family to flourish. Plus, it doesn’t hurt to be back in the land of hockey!
