Elevate Rapid City encourages a YES vote on Amendment D

Published Wednesday, October 12, 2022

The Elevate Rapid City Board of Directors has elected to support Amendment D and would encourage a YES vote on Amendment D for Medicaid expansion in the 2022 election.

Elevate encourages businesses and the community at large to support the expansion of Medicaid in order to see:

  • Improved access to preventative care.
  • Improved workforce health.
  • Expanded ability for small businesses to offer benefits to employees.

“Amendment D is good for the people and businesses of South Dakota,” said Garth Wadsworth, Elevate Rapid City public policy manager. “During times of record low unemployment, we have to look at ways to provide opportunities for people to access healthcare and reenter the workforce.”

Those who want to learn more about the issue before deciding how they vote are November 8 are invited to attend an informational session on October 25 at the David Lust Accelerator Building. The event will also be livestreamed on the Elevate Rapid City Facebook page. For more details or to RSVP visit ElevateRapidCity.com/events.
