The Salon Professional Academy - Business Spotlight
Published Wednesday, May 5, 2021 7:00 pm

The Salon Professional Academy (TSPA) was opened by Wendy Beaumont with the idea of creating a new kind of beauty school where the graduates would be confident that they were salon-ready professionals when they receive their diplomas. TSPA wants salons within the community to know they won't go wrong when hiring a graduate. Beaumont saw a vision of graduates that were better prepared for the successes the industry has to offer. She teamed up with the Salon Professional Education Company (SPEC) to become a Redken endorsed franchise school. Beaumont knew that joining forces with these two industry leaders, her team would have the tools and support they needed to create just that. With the support of Wendy's team, the franchise, and Redken, we are not only able to provide an amazing educational experience for the student but also provide a wonderful, reduced price salon services to the public as well.
The Salon Professional Academy offers a full salon and spa menu of services ranging from haircare, (color, specialty color, haircutting, chemical texturizing, styling) nail care, (manicuring, gel polish, pedicuring, artificial nails) esthetics, (advanced esthetic treatments, lash extension, lash lifting, facial and body waxing, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, makeup,) and massages (full body or chair massage).
The Academy is the only Redken endorsed cosmetology school in the industry. They strive to offer new and innovative methods of learning and teaching, along with providing those types of services to their clients. The staff works very hard as a team to keep up on education and the latest in trends. The team at TSPA strives to provide each student with the opportunity to have a very well-rounded education in all aspects of the salon industry.
The Salon Professional Academy will be expanding and moving their location giving their students and guests a new, trendy and exciting place to come and learn or just get pampered. TSPA believes the expansion is like nothing Rapid City has seen before.
Beaumont wants her business to be a part of the community and be able to give back. She wanted a way for her business to be known and for not just selling someone something. TSPA is first and foremost a business of offering people a career and the opportunity to better themselves and their families in a financial way. They offer services to the public at a great price, but their main objective is to provide students with clients to get the experience they need to become better prepared for the salon once they graduate. The vision of Elevate and the vision TSPA has for our students and staff are very similar in that we are both striving to provide a better way of life for people of our community and thus making our community a better place to live.
