LifeSight exists to protect and preserve vision, restore sight, and support eye-related research to promote eye health for all. Its community outreach provides no-cost eye exams and glasses and sight-saving surgery for underserved adults suffering from vision loss, brings free vision screenings to area schools and childcare centers for children 6 months of age through 5th grade to identify undetected childhood vision disorders, and presents a scholarship at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine to medical students pursuing the field of ophthalmology to fulfill its mission to create a pathway for Vision.
