Mobile Food Vending is allowed on Elevate Rapid City properties in specific locations. Prior to parking or reserving space, vendors must complete this one-time registration with Elevate Rapid City using this form. Please be ready with the following attachments:
- General Liability Certificate of Insurance naming Elevate Rapid City as Additional Insured in the minimum amount of $2,000,000 aggregate and $1,000,000 per occurrence.
- Copy of Sales Tax License
- Copy of State Department of Health Food License
The following regulations apply to all mobile food vendors.
- Permits are issued on an annual basis, January through December.
- Hours of operation are between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm.
- Operations shall not obstruct the visibility of motorists, nor obstruct parking lot circulation or block access to a public street, bike path, or sidewalk.
- Mobile food vending operations shall obey all parking and traffic laws.
- Signs must be permanently affixed or painted on the vehicle or structure engaged in the mobile food vending operation. No other signage is permitted. Flag signs must be secured and not placed in the right-of-way.
- Operators shall be responsible for the storage and daily removal of all trash, refuse, and litter. Such material generated from the mobile food vending operation shall not be deposited in Elevate’s trash cans, nor bagged and left on site.
- Mobile food vending vehicles shall be removed at the end of each business day.
- No sale or distribution of alcohol is allowed.
- Drive-up service is not permitted.
Failure to comply with above mentioned parking locations and rules could result in the revocation of permit.
I hereby certify that the business listed above is operated in compliance with all applicable requirements of the City of Rapid City Ordinance and State Law. I understand that any false statements or omissions may result in revocation of this permit and may jeopardize the approval of future permits. I further acknowledge that I have read the applicable rules and requirements attached to this permit and agree to fully comply with the regulations set forth by Elevate Rapid City.
