A former member of both the SD House and Senate, Ahlers is running on a platform that includes building back rural South Dakota, strengthening education and developing affordable housing alternatives.

About the Speaker:

Dan Ahlers

A graduate of Augustana University, Dan Ahlers has represented the Dell Rapids-Sioux Falls area in both the SD House and Senate.  He lives in Dell Rapids where he has operated several small businesses and served as president and interim administer of the Dell Rapids Chamber of Commerce.  He is currently is the Executive Director of the South Dakota Democratic Party.
