Details
Rapid City has been talking about an indoor sports complex for years. Now, that conversation is turning into action in a major way.
The proposed 180,000-square-foot, year-round facility, featuring turf fields, courts, an indoor walking track, and a sports medicine section, carries a $76 million price tag, with $64 million already secured and no additional taxpayer dollars required. The goal: capture the youth sports tourism dollars Rapid City currently loses to out-of-town tournaments and keep local dollars local.
August’s Critical Issues Luncheon will dig into where the project stands and what comes next. We'll hear from city leadership, hospitality and events industry executives, youth athletics coaches, and sports tourism leaders as they explore what a world-class facility means for our businesses, our families, and our region's future.
Joining us on the panel:
- Mayor Jason Salamun | City of Rapid City
- Caleb Arceneaux | CEO, Liv Hospitality
- Annika Stephens | Volleyball Coach, BH Juniors Volleyball Program
- Domico Rodriguez | Executive Director, Rapid City Sports Commission
Registration closes at end of day on August 11.
