You are invited to attend the 39th Annual McBride Military Appreciation BBQ, a community event dedicated to honoring our active duty service members, veterans, and their families.

Event Details:

📅 Date: Friday, July 11, 2025

🕔 Time: Doors open & food service begins at 5:00 PM

📍 Location: Central States Fairgrounds – Nerdy Nuts Building, Rapid City

🎶 Entertainment: Live music by Stereotrip

🍽 Meal: Pulled pork sandwiches, all-beef hot dogs, BBQ style sides, and dessert

🎯 Family Fun Zone: Bounce houses, Touch-a-Truck, Strider track, outdoor games, and more!

This is a free event open to all service members, veterans, their families, and community members who want to show their support.

A special awards ceremony will also take place to recognize exemplary military members and families, as well as one military-friendly business.

To help us plan—especially for food—we ask everyone to reserve their free tickets by visiting www.mcbridemilitarybbq.com. While the event is free, tickets help us get an accurate headcount for meals and seating.

What began 39 years ago as a simple BBQ has blossomed into a cherished community tradition, now welcoming over 500 military families.

The Black Hills community deeply appreciates the selfless dedication of our military members and their families in defending our freedoms. Each year, at the Military Appreciation Event, we honor several distinguished Airmen and Soldiers for their exemplary achievements both in their careers and within the community.
