How do I register to vote?
Step one: Check your voter registration
Step two: Fill out the voter registration form and mail it to Pennington County Auditor, PO Box 6160 or hand deliver to the new Pennington County Administration Office – 900 Concourse Dr.
Absentee Ballots must now be dropped off at 900 Concourse Dr. Ste 130 or mailed to Pennington County Auditor, PO Box 6160 Rapid City, SD 57709.

Vote by Mail: Request a ballot by mail by completing this form: Absentee Ballot Application Form. Mail the ballot to Pennington County Auditor, PO Box 6160 Rapid City, SD 57709.

You may drop your ballot off in person by returning the ballot to the County Administration Building, 900 Concourse Dr. and dropping your ballot into the ballot box in the Auditor's Office.
What time are the polls open?
On election day, June 2, 2026, Rapid City polling locations will be open 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
